Food Allergies and Their Affect on Your Health

According to Dr. Henry Ealy (Dr. H) - a doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, the founder of the Energetic Health Institute, and much more - 99% of people have delayed food allergies, and 98% do not even know it. This is a BIG deal when we are considering the root causes to what ails us.

Understanding delayed food allergies and the role they play on our health, brings new meaning to the age-old saying, “one man’s medicine is another man’s poison.”

As a society, we typically wish for a one-size-fits all approach to healing; we tend to think that this will simplify and speed up our healing process. Not so! We are all sooo uniquely wired, and there is a much better approach to discovering what work best for us, individually.

“Why Guess When You Can Know?” – Dr. H

So, you have been reading everywhere . . . ALL the health benefits of turmeric. However, what if you were to find out that you were allergic and that your immune system did not like it? Would it not be nice to know, what foods your unique body likes and what it does not like? Which you may only need to stay clear from for a month vs maybe longer? You can! With the right lab test from a tried and true, trusted source, it is that simple.

Delayed food allergies, in and of themselves can be difficult to determine, as the effects are not immediate. The outward reaction may not appear for hours or days and can present as fatigue, ADHD, depression, insomnia, headaches, anxiety, and/or other vague symptoms. Having food allergies be caused by a multitude of foods - especially foods that happen to be staples in our diet or hidden ingredients in the foods and beverages we consume on a day-to-day basis - can also make figuring them out a challenge (to say the least).

This is why elimination diets do not work well for determining "delayed" food allergies.

Nevertheless, the most common culprits are cow’s milk dairy, gluten/grains (wheat, rye, barley, spelt, kamut, triticale, etc.), yeast (baker’s and brewer’s), eggs, tree nuts, soy, peanuts, fish/seafood, fast foods, and pesticides.

Over time, the compound effect of food allergies can cause a compromised immune system. Our body recognizes these food allergens as foreign invaders.

So, what do you think happens when our body must go into attack mode meal-after-meal? You guessed it, our bodies begin to weaken, opening us up to all sorts of conditions, disorders, and diseases. What may start out as asthma, digestive issues, fatigue, skin conditions, headaches, abnormal weight gain . . . can turn more severe - such as in the case of autoimmune disorders, depression, ADHD, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, chronic inflammation, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, leaky gut, gestational diabetes, eczema, psoriasis, and neurological conditions. Keep in mind, that what food allergies do not cause . . . they can worsen. For instance, studies have found this to be true for neurological conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
